Ed’s concentration for marketing services centers on hospitality and entertainment although his resume extends to manufacturing, media, and more. His hospitality portfolio includes Destination Kohler, where he oversaw advertising and public relations for The American Club (Five Star, Five Diamond) resort, the marketing launch of the Pete Dye-designed golf courses Whistling Straits (site of the 2021 Ryder Cup) and Blackwolf Run (serving as host site marketing liaison for the record-setting 1998 USGA U.S. Women’s Open Championship), and the debut of Kohler Waters Spa; Colonial Williamsburg Resorts, including The Williamsburg Inn (Five Star, Five Diamond), The Williamsburg Lodge, the Golden Horseshoe golf courses, and the marketing development and launch of The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg; Turning Stone Resort Casino (Four Star, Four Diamond hotels and restaurants), Skana spa, Atunyote, Kaluhyat, and Shenendoah golf courses, and entertainment venues ranging from the casino industry “Showroom of the Year” at Turning Stone and its signature arena (featuring headliners such as Tony Bennett, Ringo Starr, Lady Antebellum, KISS), and the world’s largest living history museum, Colonial Williamsburg (marketing launch of the Revolutionary City street-theater program).
His event history includes the PGA TOUR (Turning Stone Resort Championship), the Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge, the PGA of America’s Professional Championship, the AHL All Star Classic and Hall of Fame Ceremonies, as well as live televised boxing events on ESPN, HBO and Showtime. As Deputy Director of the Consumer Products Group for Hill and Knowlton public relations in New York City, for two years he oversaw the Cognac Information Bureau and its tasting center for journalists in Manhattan, on behalf of the association of French Cognac producers (BNIC).
